Following a golf cart accident on Thursday, at around 5:45 p.m. on a street in The Ridges community,
Las Vegas entertainer Pia Zadora suffered serious head injuries and fractured her ankle in three places.
Zadora, 61, is now in Intensive Care at University Medical Center as she suffered bleeding in and around the brain. She is drifting in and out of consciousness although she is able to speak.
Zadora was a passenger in the golf cart driven by her 19-year-old son, Jordan. It appears he took a sharp turn while driving the vehicle which then tipped and tossed her out.
According to her manager, Brian Panella, she is expected to make a full recovery but will stay in hospital for the moment.
Zadora got her start in show business appearing in the original Broadway production of “Fiddler on the Roof” at the age of 10. This summer she starred in “Pia Reloaded,” a musical production that chronicled her life and career.
